Celebrating Milestones, Imprisoned for Christ & 9Marks at Southeastern
Two organizations are celebrating significant milestones in donations. The Voice of the Martyrs is offering churches and small groups a free on-demand virtual experience with three men who have been imprisoned for their faith. And, more than 500 pastors and church leaders recently attended a seminar on healthy churches at the Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina. The event was sponsored by the seminary and 9Marks ministries.

Two organizations are celebrating significant milestones in donations.
The IMB’s Lottie Moon Christmas Offering has crossed the $200 million mark for the first time ever. The offering provides funding to more than 4,000 IMB serving around the world.
In addition, Southern Baptists have given more than $200 million through the Cooperative Program for the first time ever. The resources are used to help the IMB, the North American Mission Board, six seminaries, and other Southern Baptist entities.

The event called Imprisoned for Christ – a virtual event where you’ll meet three Christian workers who were imprisoned for their faith! This special event is FREE and now available on demand, so you can access it at a date and time that works best for you. When you tune in to the event, you’ll hear from three inspiring speakers: Petr Jasek, Andrew Brunson and Dan Baumann.
While sharing God’s love in three different restricted nations dominated by Islam, each was arrested, interrogated, and imprisoned. While all three struggled to find God’s purpose in their suffering, they ultimately recognized His faithfulness and love amid desperate circumstances.

More than 500 pastors and church leaders recently attended a seminar on healthy churches at the Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina. The event was sponsored by the seminary and 9Marks ministries.
They focused on biblical preaching and theology, church leadership and a biblical understanding of conversion.
One of the speakers, H.B. Charles, a pastor from Florida, told the group, ““There are many churches that will readily affirm that the Bible is the Word of God, yet they deny the Bible in their practice,” said Charles, warning that biblical theology must permeate every aspect of a Christian’s life and confession.
“Gospel doctrine matters above all else and should shape everything else. Healthy churches know what they believe, and healthy churches know why they believe it.”
