Special Needs Center, Church Music Conference, & Sanctity of Life Sunday
Brentwood Baptist held a ribbon cutting this past weekend to celebrate the opening of the Rowen Glenn Center, a 15,000 square foot facility for special needs ministry. Also, there are new resources for Sanctity of Life Sunday coming up on January 16.

Members of Brentwood Baptist near Nashville are celebrating the grand opening of the Rowen Glenn Center. It’s a 15,000 square foot special needs facility. The center is named after Rowen Glenn, the granddaughter of pastor Mike Glenn. An anonymous donor gave the money for the facility and asked that it be named for Glenn’s granddaughter.
The building will be home to the church’s Embrace Special Needs Ministry that serves around 70 families. The ministry is led by Tiffany McCullough…she’s been the church’s full time special needs minister since 2016.
She believes the center will help to serve even more families who may struggle to feel safe and loved in a local church.
As the landscape of church music continues to shift, the Baptist Church Music Conference (BCMC) remains a constant presence and help for Southern Baptist musicians at all levels of involvement – the local church, denominational work and education.
Mark Burnett, current president of the conference, told Baptist Press he believes the organization is “the only conference which intentionally puts these three divisions together for dialogue and mutual encouragement.”
The group recently hosted a webinar called “What’s Next? Perspectives on Church Music”.
Their annual conference is coming up April 24-26 at First Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, Ga., near Atlanta.

The Sunday is set aside to pray for the end of legalized abortion in the United States. It’s estimated more that around 63-million babies have been aborted in the United States since Roe vs. Wade legalized abortion in 1973.
