Google Play has reinstated apps for pornography accountability software Covenant Eyes and Accountable2You after resolving invasion of privacy concerns that software leaders said were erroneous.
Google Play reinstated the apps by March 1 after suspending them in September 2022 over concerns that the apps used spyware in tracking a user’s activity on pornographic websites.
Google Play had accused the company of violating Google’s malware policy. Both companies denied the claims and presented their products as useful spiritual tools.

The rising popularity of artificial intelligence like ChatGPT is causing Christians to examine questions beyond the ethical nature of the technology, such as what it fundamentally means to be human.
ChatGPT, launched in November 2022 by the Artificial Intelligence company OpenAI, is a technology designed to provide information to users in a conversational manner.
Users give the technology a prompt or question, and ChapGPT will scan the internet to provide a dialogue-based response to the specific inquiry.
“We must not view humanity as a set of skills,” Ken Arnold, assistant professor of computer science at Calvin University, said. “Christians have a deep and rich sense of what it means to be human. We are created in God’s image, meaning we can love, feel and serve each other. We can do things that are good or sinful.”

Angel Viveros had the life he always wanted. He had a good job as a restaurant manager that he enjoyed. His family made a comfortable living, and he served in ministry at his local Mexico City church.
Viveros and his wife, Vanesa, even had a fun opportunity on a television show, where they had recently won impressive prizes, like electronics, furniture and a new car.
But despite the couple’s comfort, they sensed God was calling them to something new.
Six weeks later, the couple received an invitation from a Southern Baptist church in Lincoln, Nebraska to plant a Spanish-speaking church in the city.
As Viveros researched Lincoln, he discovered a city with a significant need for a Gospel witness among its growing Hispanic population. According to the most recent U.S. Census data, the city has more than 16,000 Hispanic residents with few Spanish-speaking, biblically faithful churches to engage them with the Gospel.
By 2050, demographers expect the number of Hispanics in the area to triple.
